Proverbs 2:1-22
21 For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
22 But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.
Like a garden tended by the Lord, He grows us up into fragrant flowers, fruitful vines, and strong trees. The wicked are the weeds, useless and destructive to the growth of the desired plants, He plucks out.

Hi, my name is Jessica Roberts. My husband and I are Independent, Fundamental Baptists. This blog was started as a place to host the short devotions I taught to my five children before our homeschool day began. I have been saved since 1974, and have always taken notes in church in the margins of my Bible. Some of these devotions come from those notes, and some from my time at Bible College in the 90s. I love the book of Proverbs, and think it is the perfect book to teach your children from because it is what the wisest man in the world was teaching his son.
